Job descriptionInspect plant equipment and report defects. Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment. Liaise with operations to plan equipment maintenance. Supervise staff (Assistants, Artisans). Liaise with external service providers to procure goods and services. Supervise external service providers when on-site. Review and action maintenance requests on SAP. Understanding of safety systems (lock-out / solation, risk assessments). Working in food industry and FSSC compliant industry. Good communication skills. Problem-solving and root cause analysis. Good organisational and administrative skills.
SUMMARY :
Our client, Africa’s biggest producer in their industry, seeks a qualified Millwright to take up this 3-month fixed term contract, with the intention to possibly appoint permanent.
POSITION INFO :
Minimum Job Requirements :
- Apprenticeship completed at registered provider.
- Trade Tested Millwright.
- N3+ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Sugar industry experience essential.
- Packaging equipment experience, particularly liquid packaging.
- Experience with fault-finding and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Experience with electrical fault-finding and maintenance of electrical equipment and circuits.
- Understanding of industrial instrumentation; PLC’s and SCADA systems.
- SAP training and experience, a strong advantage.
