Credit Controller

SUMMARY :

Our financial services client based in Umhlanga requires a Credit Controller , whose primary responsibility is to maintain optimal cash flow, whilst mitigating credit risk.

POSITION INFO : Key Functions :

• Efficient cash flow management through monitoring debtors, ensuring timely payments from clients and implementing strategies to accelerate collections
• Evaluate and mitigate risk
• Negotiate payment terms with clients
• Resolve billing queries and disputes amicably
• Keep an open line of communication to facilitate future dealings
• Generate regular financial reports
• Maintain accurate records for prompt decision-making
• Utilize software for efficiency
• Ensure compliance with legal frameworks and company policies
• Stay updated with financial regulations
• Implement internal controls to prevent compliance lapses
Key Requirements :
• Matric
• Tertiary education in finance advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Methodical and pays attention to detail
