DBN000115 DESIGN ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)  – DURBAN DUBE TRADEPORT

Purpose of the job :

Responsible for engineering Integrity, and measurement and maximum focus on item / product delivery, with guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • BSc. Mechanical Engineering Degree - Critical
  • 3D CAD
  • Creo advantageous

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • 8 years of experience in manufacturing with a diverse knowledge of processes.
  • Understand the process flow of Production in order to mitigate incorrect decisions.
  • Understand the holistic product development life cycle from Studio to Production to assist in the decision making process.
  • Ensure on time delivery for Engineering part of the product development.
  • The Mid-Level Engineer / Structural Designer may at times need to work towards project specific timelines.
  • Create 3D models and drawing packs for Manufacturing purposes.
