Position based in Hillcrest

Key Responsibilities :

Source and select a diverse range of alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and variety.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, producers, and distributors.
Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and promotional opportunities to benefit the business.
Monitor inventory levels, manage stock data, and conduct regular audits.
Set competitive retail prices and ensure effective merchandising.
Stay updated on market trends, new products, and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor laws, licensing, and regulations.
Organize and participate in product tastings and quality evaluations.
Collaborate with marketing teams to plan promotions and in-store events.
Provide product knowledge training to staff and promote responsible service.

Requirements :

Proven experience as a buyer, preferably in the liquor or retail industry.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

In-depth knowledge of alcoholic beverages and current market trends.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with liquor laws and compliance requirements.

Attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
