Qualified Electrician

VACANCY – QUALIFIED ELECTRICIANA well-established packaging manufacturer has a vacancy for a Qualified Electrician.

This isa 3-month fixed term contract with the potential of a permanent contract.The role is based Southern Suburbs in Ottery Cape Town, and willreport to the Workshop Manager.The job requirements and duties are as follows : Recognized Red Seal Certificate (non-negotiable).

Preferably 3 – 5+ years' experience in the production environment.

Proven knowledge of installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, distributionboards and variable speed drives.

Responsible for maintaining hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components suchas cylinders, pumps, conveyors, motor valves and bearing assembles.

The incumbent must be able to read electrical drawings and technical diagrams.

Excellent fault-finding skills in electrical and mechanical areas necessary.

3 Phase knowledge strongly advantageous.

Working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller) a distinct advantage.

Experience on packaging and extrusion machines preferred.

Valid driver's licenseMinimum requirements : Grade 12 Red Seal Certification (non-negotiable) Excellent fault-finding skills Proven experience as a maintenance electrician Familiarity with industrial machines Valid Driver's license Good communication skills Work independently and as part of a team.The position will require occasional overtime, weekend shifts and standby work, and the salaryis commensurate with experience.If you would like to apply, please forward your CV
