Job category : FMCG, Retail, Wholesale and Supply ChainLocation : Western CapeContract : PermanentRemuneration : Market relatedEE position : NoIntroductionAre you interested in a Technical Trainer career in Woolworths Supply Chain and Logistics?Main PurposeTo effectively facilitate and manage the learning of employees in Technical Training and effectively support the operations by doing all required process / procedure training and assessments in line with operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesTECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL TRAININGManage Unicentre Technical Training and ad hoc requestsSchedule all technical process training required in a responsible operationComplete all course administration before any scheduled trainingFacilitate all on-the-job Technical Training as per the technical process training scheduleComplete all Technical theoretical assessments for all employees where relevantComplete all Technical job assessments for all employees where relevantComplete random Technical Process Compliance ChecksAssess all employees as per the Operations Managers request in line with operational requirementsReport to the Operational Manager and First Line Manager on all assessment resultsHave regular sessions with the Operations Manager and First Line Managers to discuss all process training requirements of the operationAdminister all Skills Development and Career Path training for the sitePartner with the Process & Integration Manager to support the implementation of initiatives / projects related to new or updated operations processes and proceduresPartner the Process & Integration Manager on the design of learning and assessment guides and the updating of new / updated technical training learning materialSubmit all training registers and other relevant documentation from the responsible operation to the Supply Chain & Logistics Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)Schedule training, taking into consideration operational impactsCompile weekly and monthly reports accurately and distribute to the L & D ManagerMaintain a high level of confidentiality and integrityAdhere to company policies, procedures and legislation (e.g., OHASA and SHE programme) in line with corporate governanceSupport the broader team with any L&D initiatives taking place on SiteAbility to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures into Training processes and contentLEADERSHIP & SELFPersonal effectivenessPassion for the brand and customersDelivering high performanceConnecting peoplePlanning and organizingHaving an innovative mind-setInfluentialEnthusiasm for lifelong learningAbility to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detailBUSINESS & FINANCEDemonstrates a thorough understanding of the business measures and targets relating to own roleKnowledge and process understanding of logistics and related distribution processes would be advantageousAbility to identify operational obstacles, opportunities and refer to relevant managementAbility to challenge and be challenged rationally with / by management in order to ensure optimal process compliance and productivityCUSTOMER & ENVIRONMENTDisplay a customer service mindset, by demonstrating an understanding of the impact of own role on service delivery to internal and external customersBuild relationships with Operations Managers and General ManagersSYSTEMS, PROCESS & TECHNICAL COMPLIANCEAbility to facilitate learning and coach othersAbility to Train on most digital platforms (MS teams / Zoom) / Technologically SoundStrong Digital capabilities within the L&D scopeExposure in Facilitating Traditionally and OnlineStrong facilitation and Presentation SkillsProactive and keeps abreast with industry changes within the L&D scopeKnowledge of relevant computer packages and ability to capture information and produce reports on these packagesAbility and understanding of Warehousing and Supply Chain end-to-end processesA good understanding and working knowledge of all WHS processes (TRICEPS) would be advantageousOTHER JOB REQUIREMENTSWhat theoretical knowledge (e.g.

degree / diploma) does the job require?Matric certificate or relevant tertiary certificate at NQF Level 4An ETD Certificate would be advantageousWhat experience (e.g.

previous exposure) does the job require?2-4 years' experience in Supply Chain & Logistics2 years' experience in training / learning and developmentExperience in facilitating a variety of initiatives beyond technical training would be advantageousWhat operational requirements (e.g., working hours & environment) does the job require?Ability to work flexible hours within the business requirements is importantAbility to work in different temperature-controlled regimes e.g., Cold Chain and FrozensOther key requirementsThe deliverables are not limited to the accountabilities specified in the job advert.
