Job Purpose
The Gaming Technical Shift Manager manages the day-to-day delivery of the gaming technical operation and team with the aim of ensuring gaming product availability and performance in line with Guest expectations; and aligned to Company Standards and Gaming Regulations.Key Performance Areas
Shift management :
Manages the day to day operation in the gaming technical departmentManages the output task registerDuty allocations / Handovers / shift reports / dispute handling / floor walkaboutsReports gaming equipment anomalies and repairs to gaming managementQuality assures work ordersSchedules planned and preventative maintenanceVerifies and resolves escalated disputes and incidentsFollows up on progress of allocations and makes adjustments if requiredLiaises with Internal and External customers / stakeholdersKey bunch maintenance :
Keys, IFS, and money declarationsAttends required meetingsKeeps departments / staff informed of information required to meet their needsGaming Product :
Evaluates gaming productsConducts walkabouts to check product conditionTechnical assessmentsManage technical requirements of product movesResearches products / keeps up to date with developmentCompile and manage the delivery of the scheduled maintenance planTrains staff to use products efficientlyMonitors and reports on product availability / uptimeMaster file system maintenanceReporting and Administration :
Consolidates, verifies and distributes Analytical Reports : (Including but not limited to)Shift reportsMonth end Feedback reportsNote acceptor reportsCard acceptance reportsPower Supply voltage reportsSuspicious meter movement reportsCard update failuresNetwork stats checksPerformance reportsProgressive ReportsIFS ReportsCash Handling Equipment ReportsMakes recommendations to address shortfallsCaptures relevant dataEnsures RGP information is displayedProvides feedback to HO and SuppliersCompliance management :
Customise technical standards for the unitCommunicates standards to all relevant partiesManages and audits Standard Operating ProceduresIdentifies new legislation changes, risks an opportunities to maintain the SOPSStandards include ordering of locks and keys, game software, SAMS, shift control keysMaster file system auditsPeople supervision and Development :
Manage staff conditions of employment, e.g. attendance, absenteeism, leave, adherence to policies and proceduresManage productivities and payroll costs for the departmentIdentification of employee training needsPerform on the job training and coaching to close developmental gaps and build succession for a talent pipeline within the outletManage employee relations and disciplinary action within the departmentEnsure staff communication and motivationPerformance contracting, reviews and developmentProvides resources and removes obstacles to performanceOnboarding of new staff membersGuides and coaches employeesParticipates in the recruitment and selection of new technicians into the departmentCustomer Relationship Management :

Education
N6 National Electronic Certificate (light current) with relevant experience or S2 or National Electronic Diploma (light current) or Equivalent qualificationExperience
Certification / Accreditation / Registration / Licences : Meet the criteria for a Key Gaming Licence and FICAWork conditions and special requirements : Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements and physically able to move and carry operating equipment in line with job requirementsSkills and Knowledge
