General Manager

The General Manager will oversee all operations at the Polypropylene Textiles plant located in Durban.

This role demands a highly qualified individual with a strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering and extensive experience in managing large-scale manufacturing plants.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the overall operations of the Polypropylene Textiles plant.Develop and implement strategic plans to increase production efficiency and profitability.Ensure that the plant meets all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Oversee the maintenance and optimization of machinery and equipment.Manage a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.Monitor and control budgets and financial performance.Coordinate with suppliers and clients to ensure seamless supply chain operations.Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing manufacturing plants, with a preference for experience in textiles or similar industries.Proven track record of leadership and management in a complex industrial environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Salary and BenefitsAnnual salary : Approximately R1,2 million per annumprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plansOpportunities for professional development and career growth.LocationThe role is based in Durban, a vibrant city known for its beautiful beaches, diverse culture, and strong industrial base.
