You will be responsible for :

  • Transportation and delivery of @home Livingspace furniture to customers and stores
  • Executing the delivery and returns process
  • Ensure delivery Assistants execute delivery tasks while on the road
  • Assisting with furniture assembly when delivering
  • Ensuring delivery and collection process is followed
  • Vehicle inspections and checking assembly tools
  • Vehicle maintenance tracking and cleaning
  • Assisting with ad-hoc deliveries or duties and / or collections required

    • The ideal candidate would need to :

  • Have a valid drivers' license (Code 10)
  • 40-hour contract, 5 days a week
  • Have a valid PDP
  • Matric certificate
  • At least 2 years’ solid experience as a truck driver
  • Have basic computer literacy
  • Be able to clearly speak, read and write in English
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be customer service orientated
  • Be professional and team orientated
  • Be good at tracking and achieving daily tasks against planned delivery schedule
  • Follow instructions and escalate when required
  • Handle assignments in a confidential manner (POPI)
  • Handle heavy furniture and assist with assembly when required.
  • Work overtime when required
  • Engage and work with multiple teams to achieve targets
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Safety of delivery staff, truck, and furniture top of mind
  • Meticulous and tidy
