Job description

Technical Skills : Financial Analysis : Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights for decision-making. Business Analysis : Skills in understanding business processes and identifying areas for improvement. Data Analysis : Proficiency in deconstructing data, building data models, and supporting the reporting process. IFRS Understanding : Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, particularly IFRS 9. Excel Proficiency : Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Data Mining : Ability to extract and analyse large datasets to support financial reporting. Industry Experience : Statutory and Regulatory Reporting : Experience in statutory and regulatory reporting, including understanding of Prudential Authority requirements. Financial Services Industry : Background in the financial services industry, with knowledge of financial instruments and prudential reporting. Personal Skills : Critical Thinking : Ability to question and challenge existing processes and practices. Problem Solving : Skills in identifying root causes of issues and developing solutions. Communication : Strong communication skills to engage with finance stakeholders and articulate complex ideas clearly. Adaptability : Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements. Collaboration : Ability to work effectively within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders. Certifications : Chartered Accountant (CA) : Preferably CA(SA) or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices. Other : A Certified Financial Analysis (CFA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) designation can be beneficial for candidates involved in financial analysis and reporting. Certification in Financial Consolidation and Close Process Systems : Certification in systems such as Oracle FCCS, SAP Financial Consolidation, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or OneStream to demonstrate expertise in financial consolidation and close processes. Additional Considerations : Oracle FCCS and Fusion GL Experience : Familiarity with Oracle's Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS) and Fusion General Ledger (GL) is highly desirable. Data Flow Knowledge : Understanding of data flow from source to AFCS, Fusion GL, and FCCS, and ability to reconcile differences across these layers. Oracle Certification : Certification in Oracle Cloud services, particularly in FCCS and Fusion GL, to validate expertise in these platforms.
