Business Solutions Architect (12-month Contract)Industry : ManufacturingLocation : East Rand, JohannesburgPay Rate : R – R per hour (R – R per month)Contract Duration : 12 monthsWork Arrangement : Hybrid (3 days in-office : Monday, Friday, plus one additional day of choice)Role Overview : We are seeking a highly experienced Business Solutions Architect to lead a team of 3–5 Business Analysts, overseeing strategic technology-driven initiatives that enhance business processes, improve operational efficiencies, and optimize supply chain management.The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, FMCG, Mining, or Oil & Gas, with a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and business transformation.Key Responsibilities : Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.Design and implement IT-driven business solutions, with 90% of projects focused on technology enablement for business operations.Oversee business process mapping, workflow digitization, and ERP enhancements, ensuring seamless system integration.Manage key ERP systems (JDE, Syspro) along with multiple integrations and custom development projects.Define and document Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).Lead full-cycle projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment and successful implementation.Collaborate with development teams on custom JDE solutions, self-build initiatives, and system integrations.Drive strategic initiatives such as chatbot development, digitization of forms, ERP upgrades, and business-focused IT transformations.Utilize Waterfall methodologies for structured project execution.Provide leadership on IT and business transformation initiatives across multiple business units.Required Qualifications & Experience : A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in business solutions architecture, with expertise in ERP systems (JDE, Syspro) and enterprise-wide integrations.Strong capability to manage IT projects from conception to execution, ensuring business-aligned digital solutions.Extensive knowledge of supply chain dynamics, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiencies.Proven ability to lead and mentor Business Analysts, fostering collaboration and performance improvement.Hands-on experience with custom JDE development, dev team collaboration, and self-build system solutions.Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership in large-scale digital transformation projects.Additional Information : This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a dynamic and evolving business environment.The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions, driving efficiency and innovation across multiple business units.
