Job Purpose
To perform various manual tasks and duties in compliance with applicable policies and procedures to
deliver effective and efficient development and maintenance services to public swimming pool
facilities within the eThekwini Municipal area.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Prepares for the days work ensuring that all small plant, tools, stores and materials required
for the daily tasks are collected, are in good working order and are returned to the relevant
storage areas at the end of each shift.
Undertakes manual duties required to maintain the swimming pool, its change rooms,buildings and surrounds.
Assists members of the public in addressing minor complaints and queries by applyingprinciples of Batho Pele and refers more complex issues to the Supervisor.
Ensures Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations are complied with.Competencies

An appropriate level of secondary education.6 months relevant experience in the swimming pool environment.Preferred Requirements
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.18 months relevant experience or must have worked as a seasonal in a pool environment
