Job description

Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide effective and efficient IT technical and IT device support, to ensure effective user and network continuity which include access control infrastructure and CCTV architecture at the operation. Apply latest technology to ensure user information security, which includes but not limited to :

Access / CCTV / IT support and technical services
Technical security support
SHERQ adherence
Work Ethics

Desired Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12

COMPTIA A+ Information Technology certificate

COMPTIA N+ Information Technology certificate

Microsoft certified Systems Engineering / Microsoft Integration Technology Professional certificate (Recommended) EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) years operational network and technical support experience

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Formal Training

MCSE Basic Server Module and Basic Active Directory Module

Physical requirements o Ability to differentiate between all colours

Work at heights

Work in confined spaces and dusty environment

Policies and Procedures

IT policies and procedures

Procurement policies

Computer Literacy

Basic user in MS Office Suite

Applicable discipline-specific software and hardware programs

Advanced user of XP Operating system

Diagnostic skills

Equipment Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of CCTV and access control equipment installed at mine

Drive for results

Must be flexible and conduct accurate repairs in short space of time

Drivers license

Valid Code EB / B driver's license

Package & Remuneration

Salary : Market Related
