This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to meet sales targets and support the company's success.The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of our technical products and services and be able to communicate this effectively to non-technical clients.

A driven personality with excellent sales and customer service skills is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to prospect, negotiate, and close deals with utilities, municipalities, and industrial clients.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations, to grow the water metering market.Build and maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to support sales initiatives.Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in water metering.Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.Enhance sales processes and tools for improved efficiency.Candidate requirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.Matric qualification.Experience5-7 years of proven sales experience in the water metering industry with a strong record of achieving targets.Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a sales team.Additional considerationsOwn transport and valid driver's license.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing sales plans.Deep understanding of electrical metering technologies, market dynamics, and regulations.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
