Are you someone who has experience in : Responsible for the 24 / 7 support of DB2 production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security, and performance required by the business systems.You will be responsible for : Ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.Working with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases are optimized for high availability and performance.Proactively monitoring the database systems to ensure secure services with minimal downtime.Providing statistics for trend analysis.Improving and maintaining the databases, including rollout and upgrades.Implementing and releasing database changes as submitted by the development team.Installing and upgrading the DB2 server and application tools.Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements.Creating primary database storage structures after application design.Creating and modifying primary objects (tables, views, indexes) based on application design.Enrolling users and maintaining system security.Controlling and monitoring user access.Monitoring and optimizing database performance.Planning for backup and recovery of database information.Maintaining archived data.Backing up and restoring the database.Writing ad-hoc queries for reporting based on schema knowledge.Managing security and access control.What you will need : Between 4 and 6 years of relevant experience.DB2 technical skills, general database maintenance, performance & storage optimization, and security knowledge.Good knowledge of SQL.Good knowledge of Linux and DB2 mainframe experience.We can be a match if you can : Possess very good interpersonal skills.Have excellent communication skills.Be a committed, reliable self-starter capable of working independently.Have problem determination and solving skills.#Post #FNB #LI-NN2Are you interested in taking the next step?We look forward to engaging with you further.Apply now!Note that applications will not be accepted after 15 / 07 / 25.
