Job descriptionAn exciting opportunity is available for 2x Regional Operations Officer, reporting to the Group Chief Operations Officer. The successful candidate is expected to provide strategic and operational support for efficient and effective management of existing Group Hospitals as well as Greenfield Projects. Efficient management of operations and projects in areas of responsibility by achieving agreed profitability and efficiency targets (cashflow, productivity). Support the hospital commissioning team pre-operationally and ensure smooth transition to complete oversight once the facility is operational. Develop a business strategy to ensure business growth with focus on hospital occupancy in relation to licensed beds- optimizing utilization of assets, expand doctor base and service offering. Effective reporting on operational and financial outcomes in focus areas and develop action plans. Develop complimentary business lines in accordance with business opportunities. Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders. Doctor recruitment, retention and succession in conjunction with hospital teams. Collaborate with functions in the business to achieve strategic objectives. Operational and HIS system integration with the aim to provide a reliable base for the business intelligence initiatives within the organization. Relevant NQF Level 8 qualification. Proven leadership as a senior manager in healthcare or related industry. Driver’s license and ability to travel. Relevant experience and technical skills to meet critical outputs. Understanding of the private healthcare industry and applicable legislation. Computer proficiency especially in Microsoft Programmes (Excel) and a base understanding of data reporting and Business Intelligence reports Collaboration / Relationship Building Report writing Analytical thinking Problem-solving, analysis and judgement Resilience Engaging diversity Verbal & written communication and presentation skills Negotiation Influencing Strategic agility Planning Customer responsiveness Project management Organisational awareness Excellence and quality orientation Ethical behaviour Technical and professional knowledge Administrative / Management jobs
