Specialist Supplier Quality

Job Description - Specialist Supplier Quality (MEROM0)As a supplier quality engineer, you serve as the primary contact between MBSA and our local supply base to ensure Mercedes-Benz quality standards for purchased parts.Your responsibilities include : Conducting supplier evaluations, managing supplier development, and guiding suppliers in advanced quality activities and maturity management for their production processes and components.Performing activities in compliance with the company's Integrity & Anti Bribery codes, Conflict of Interest policy, and S.H.E.Q.Leading process audits and controlling effective corrective actions during both project and series phases.Participating in supplier evaluation and qualification processes before awarding contracts, including VDA Potential Analysis.Facilitating and leading suppliers in advanced product quality planning (VDA RGA maturity level assessment) for new projects, following the maturity level assurance process (VDA).Using quality tools / systems necessary for NPP (e.g., ABC Classification, Q-Planning, Husky, START).Performing VDA 6.3 process audits at suppliers, maintaining follow-up audits, and scheduling accordingly.Managing production process and product approval (PPAP) according to VDA 2.Monitoring supplier performance against MBSA's targets and standards.Conducting annual reviews of suppliers' processes and products for safety and certification-relevant parts (Requalification).Establishing and monitoring supplier key process indicators (KPIs) to ensure performance targets are met.Collaborating with suppliers to investigate, analyze, and resolve problems using the 8D methodology.Sharing lessons learned from ongoing series to improve future projects.Facilitating continuous improvement activities using problem-solving techniques.Qualifications : NQF Level 7 - Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma in BCom - Economics & Business Management.At least 6 months of participation in the MBSA Graduate Development Programme.Knowledge and Experience : 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality or related fields.Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., VDA, IATF).Advanced computer literacy.Closing date : 27 June.
