My client, a well-established, diversified group of companies operating in agriculture and related sectors seeks an Accountant to join their team.

Newly created role and suited to either an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant who is diverse able to work from processing to management reporting level.

The team values hands-on professionals who are reliable and results-driven and would like to be part of a like-minded team, if this resonates with you, then we want to hear from you.Why join this team?Join a dynamic, multi-entity group where your expertise in financial accounting will make a tangible impactThis role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end finance functions, with exposure to agricultural and production environmentsWork in a collaborative, deadline-driven setting that values accuracy and operational excellenceWhat you will be doing : Maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRSPrepare monthly / yearly budgets and cash flow reportsSubmit VAT and EMP returns monthly via e-filingManage bi-annual IRP5 submissionsOversee debtors and creditors, including cost evaluationsGenerate monthly management reports by strict deadlinesConduct daily / monthly bookkeeping on PastelCompile and audit annual financial statementsReconcile and manage purchase orders for creditors / debtorsEnsure tax compliance with SARS regulationsTrack production costs and manage operational budgetsMonitor inventory and fixed assetsMaintain accurate depreciation and insurance for assetsOversee cash flow planning for seasonal needsEvaluate financial viability of new venturesAssess credit risks for suppliers and customers
