SUMMARY :

  • Boutique Hotel in Ballito is looking for a professional, experienced, and motivated individual to join their team as a Food & Beverage Manager .

The Food & Beverage Manager manages all F&B operations and is responsible for delivering an excellent guest experience .

The candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage the department ensuring that guests always receive impeccable offering and service .

POSITION INFO : Duties :

Ensure Profit centres run at stipulated

Manage all beverage stock within the company. Handle all Beverage orders effectively.

Review all food costs with the Head Chef and supply the General Manager with relevant information of shortfalls as well as improvement plans.

Manage F&B cost centres effectively according to property budgets.

Present upcoming annual budget forecasts.

Manage guest experience costs as well as new experience costings.

Manage all F&B inventory and Capex control monthly.

Ensure brand standards are always upheld. Optimise brand with weekly meetings with the General Manager.

Weekly and Monthly feedback to the General Manager.

Safe hygiene & Safety practices for staff & Guests

Monthly guest feedback audits

Food & Beverage menu Design

Produce annual F&B Guest experiences Plan and Associated budget.

Keep up to date with international guest experience trends.

Compile and execute innovative guest experiences.

Positive Interaction with guests

Identify customer needs and respond proactively to all their concerns

Ensure the appropriate ambiance in all F&B areas is maintained at all times

Ensure all F&B staff are competent to perform their duties

On the job training programs. Skills development programs.

Maximise staff effectiveness to ensure a 100% guest satisfaction.

Weekly / Monthly reporting on staff performance.

Set up / manage Staff KPI`s. Report monthly on staff performance to the HM.

Lead the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel

Requirements : Grade 12

A formal hospitality qualification

Proven F&B management experience - minimum 4 years in a 5

  • Hotel environment.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Micros, Opera)

    Excellent English Speaking

    Strong attention to detail

    A strong HR background with sound disciplinary skills.
