Starke Ayres is the leading African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties for both commercial and home gardening.We are seeking a Despatch Controller based in Kempton Park.The role's primary purpose is to ensure all dispatches are executed promptly and efficiently, meeting customer requirements.Responsibilities : Labour & Container ManagementCoordinate with the Depot Manager to ensure efficient vehicle loading and off-loading.Inspect containers for defects before loading and report findings to the Depot Supervisor.Oversee safe and damage-free loading of containers for transit.Supervise loading and off-loading processes, ensuring product security.Ensure receipt of all invoices in line with pre-planned SAMIS Route Planningplete and process all dispatch documentation for sub-contractors and couriers.Maintain proper filing and matching of proof of delivery (POD) documents with relevant orders / invoices.Track and report any outstanding PODs to the Depot Supervisor.Delivery Scheduling & Coordination : Arrange collection and delivery appointments with sub-contractors and couriers.Schedule delivery times with customers and COD customers.Ensure a fully completed and signed POD is received for all dispatched goods.Cash Handling & Financial Transactions : Receive and sign for COD payments collected by drivers, then forward them to the Admin Clerk daily.Obtain signatures for all money transfers between depot personnel.
