Plant Accountant

Minimum Job Requirements :

• B.Com or B.Tech in Financial Accounting.
• C.A. (S.A.) or CIMA, a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must have experience in a manufacturing Plant environment.
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional disciplines (Production, Logistics, Supply Chain, Maintenance, etc.).
• Proven Technical Finance acumen (budgets, forecasts, interpretation of Income Statement, Stock Control, etc.).Â

Key Performance Areas :

Report to the Plant Manager and Business Unit Financial Manager :

Provide financial analysis and support to management and all operational areas.

Maintain and review the risk register.

Participate in the budget / forecast process.

Prepare financial reports and returns.

Compile the plant Flash results and analyse variances.

Compile and review weekly Sales reports.

Prepare provisions and accruals.

Prepare & maintain a Capex and Tooling register tracking actual spend against approved spend, planning future profitability & cash flows of the projects.

Prepare and plan year-end statutory audits.

Calculate landed cost on all import shipments.

Compile daily stock holding report.

Oversee cash management function of the plant.

Review Forex forecasts.

Staff management.
