Job DescriptionPrimary purpose of the jobResponsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of import materials requiredfor production by analysing demand forecasts, coordinate with suppliers, freightforwarding agents and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking  Key Performance AreasDevelopment and implementation of inventory management strategies to optimizeimport material availability and minimize transport costs.Analyse demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels to maintainoptimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory.Utilize SAP ERP system to track materials, generate reports, and assist in dataanalysis for decision-making.Support the development of inventory replenishment strategies and inventoryoptimizationParticipate in supplier relationship management to ensure quality and timely deliveryof materialsLead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficienciesMonitor supplier delivery performance and ensure timely consolidation at freightforwarder for collected materials while ensuring containerutilization is maintained to reduce freight costs and on time deliveryAdhering to inventory budget and KPI's Knowledge and Skills requiredStrong understanding of demand forecasting and import materials requirements planningUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturingQuality systems in the automotive industryGeneral Logistics / Transport knowledgeKnowledge of supply chain optimization techniques and methodologiesCommunication and interpersonal relationshipStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issuesExperience with ERP systems, such as SAP and MS ExcelAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining positive relationships.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiencyPlanning, organising & controlAdaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environmentUnderstanding of customs and excise actStrong knowledge and understanding of cycle counting Minimum Requirements Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain ManagementMinimum of 3 years in import material planning within an automotive industryMinimum of 1 year purchasing experience
