The institute has a job opening for a Welding Lecturer within our School of Artisans, Tradesmen and Professionals.The prime role of the Lecturer will be to teach students the necessary skills and software applications for the development of specific programme disciplines, with one being deemed a Subject Matter Expert.This includes conducting training, assessment & invigilation, as well as driving the development and expansion of the faculty offerings and its delivery methods.Position Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacilitate learning by creating an engaging teaching and learning environmentConduct assessments, mark, and provide meaningful feedbackContribute to programme and content development, and improvement of resourcesUndertake relevant academic administration activitiesEnsure a positive student experience, provide student support, and maintain excellent customer serviceMaintain strong working relationships within the department and with other departmentsApplication RequirementsGrade 12 with full MathematicsAt least 2 years' experience as a Welder and in an educational environment (preferred)Ability to understand, use, and learn modern technologyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse environmentMust be able to work from our Midrand campus and have reliable transportFacilitator certification SAQA approved (preferred)Registered Assessor and Moderator with ETDP Seta (preferred)Expected AttributesCross-functional awareness / organisational understandingConceptual thinkingDecisiveness and commitment to courses of actionTeam leadershipPeople CentricityUrgency and quick responseSelf-ControlHigh ethical standardsWhy work at AIEOur vision and mission focus on demand-driven education, innovation, and technology.
