Job descriptionMSc in a basic biomedical science (e.g. immunology, virology, molecular biology, pharmacology, infectious diseases) or medical degree(MBChB, MBBCh or MD) 3- 5 years’ experience in HIV vaccine and / or HIV prevention research 3- 5 years’ experience as a clinical project manager of research studies and research teams Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and clinical trial site processes is essential Strong research focus and a publication record is essential Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience Budget / grant management skills Excellent ability to build interpersonal relationships and partnerships Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent scientific writing and communication skills (English written and verbal) High personal integrity, resilience, and attention to detail Strong planning, organization and reporting skills PhD in a related speciality Experience with vaccine investigational products or immunogenicity studies Experience in scientific and grant writing Competence in data management, biostatistics and data interpretation Familiarity with funding agency and sponsor reporting requirements Co-ordinate and oversee the implementation of an ambitious HIV vaccine programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting on study progress Manage key project staff members ensuring deliverables are met Engage in the HIV Vaccine Research agenda HIV vaccine trial implementation and oversight Support other HIV prevention projects Assist the study principal investigators and project leads with preparing reports for funders and regulators and scientific publications Maintain relationships with all key stakeholders responsible for project delivery Medical / Healthcare jobs
