Are you a dynamic hospitality professional with a flair for events and a passion for excellence? A prestigious lodge nestled in the heart of the bush is seeking a Banqueting Manager to lead and elevate its events and conferencing department.

Position : Full-time, live-in

Salary : Market-related, based on experience

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the planning and execution of all lodge events, including weddings, conferences, private functions, and corporate retreats
  • Manage and coordinate banquet staff, ensuring top-tier service standards are upheld
  • Liaise with guests, chefs, and event planners to ensure every function exceeds expectations
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of events, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Maintain detailed records of event orders, budgets, and feedback to continually enhance the guest experience
  • Train and motivate the team to deliver seamless and memorable events
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage and Operations departments for cohesive event execution

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in banqueting or event management within a lodge, hotel, or high-end hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Guest-centric approach with a high standard of personal presentation
