Job Description

Mr Price Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist Trainee to join our team. This 12-month program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in a data-driven environment.

Purpose & Objective :

Develop and implement data-driven decision-making models and provide insights through the application of machine learning, data mining and artificial intelligence methods.

The Objective is to develop a data scientist with expertise in supply chain and logistics, equipped to drive business growth through data-driven insights to improve business and operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase revenue in line with strategic objectives

Responsibilities

Data analysis : Assist in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions.

Model development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models and algorithms.

Insight generation : Identify trends and patterns in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

Data visualization : Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

Learning and development : Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance data science skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Degree : Bachelor's or Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

Technical skills : Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Statistics and machine learning fundamentals

Data visualization : (Tableau, Power BI & Excel)

Data analysis : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication : Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Agile learner : Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
