SUMMARY :
Our client is seeking a technically strong and solutions-driven IT Technician with solid Linux experience and practical knowledge of networking and firewalls. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, a natural curiosity for troubleshooting, and a passion for IT infrastructure and support. This role involves supporting and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability, while providing responsive end-user support and assisting in technical operations across Linux-based systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :
- Support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability.
- Provide timely end-user support and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Manage and configure Linux servers (Ubuntu / OpenSUSE) and related systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, TCP / IP protocols, routing, and firewall configurations.
- Assist with hardware installation, maintenance, and basic server administration tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to implement security measures using firewalls and security appliances.
- Document processes, incidents, and solutions clearly for ongoing reference and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders to provide excellent technical support.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications & Required Skills :
CompTIA A+, Network+, NQF IT certifications, or a relevant IT degree or diploma, OR strong hands-on experience with demonstrable technical skills.Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu / OpenSUSE) with daily hands-on use.Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP / IP, routing, and troubleshooting.Practical experience with firewalls and security appliances.Basic knowledge of server administration and hardware support.Strong end-user support capabilities with excellent problem-solving skills.Demonstrated engineering mindset with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.Excellent professional communication skills and client-focused support approach.Nice to Have :
