Motor Technician : Diagnostic WorkAdvanced Diagnostics : Identify complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic equipment and experience.Test Drive Vehicles : Perform road tests to replicate customer complaints and identify issues that cannot be spotted during static diagnostics.Utilize Specialized Tools : Use high-tech diagnostic tools, software, and scanners to troubleshoot and assess vehicle systems.Vehicle Repairs and MaintenanceRoutine Maintenance : Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and other regular maintenance.Engine and Transmission Work : Carry out advanced engine repairs and replacements, including transmissions, timing belts, fuel systems, and cooling systems.Electrical and Electronics Repair : Diagnose and repair issues with car electronics, sensors, airbags, alternators, and lighting systems.Suspension and Steering Repairs : Fix or replace components in suspension systems, shock absorbers, and steering mechanisms.Supervision and MentoringTraining Junior Technicians : Provide guidance and support, ensuring adherence to standards.Task Delegation : Assign tasks based on skill levels.Quality Control : Inspect work to meet safety and quality standards.Problem-Solving : Assist with complex repair scenarios.Customer InteractionCommunicate with Customers : Discuss repair needs, explain findings, and suggest solutions.Provide Estimates : Offer cost and time estimates.Follow-Up : Ensure customer satisfaction post-service.Technical DocumentationDocument Repairs and Services : Maintain accurate records.Service Reports : Generate detailed reports and logs.Update Service Procedures : Stay current with technical bulletins and recalls.Inventory ManagementParts Ordering : Ensure availability of parts.Stock Management : Maintain organized workshop and inventory.Health and Safety ComplianceWorkplace Safety : Follow safety protocols.Environmental Responsibility : Dispose of hazardous materials properly.Vehicle InspectionsMOT / Vehicle Inspection : Conduct safety inspections.Pre-purchase Inspections : Perform vehicle inspections for buyers.Continuous Learning and DevelopmentStay Updated with Technology : Keep current with industry trends, including EVs and hybrids.Certifications and Training : Participate in relevant courses.Requirements / Qualification / SkillsQualified Red Seal Technician3-5 years dealership experience as a Motor TechnicianProficiency in English and FrenchStrong technical knowledge of various vehicle makes and modelsExpertise in electrical systems, engines, and transmissionsAbility to use diagnostic equipment and softwareGood communication and customer service skillsOrganizational and leadership abilitiesAttention to detail in complex repairsMentoring abilitiesExperience in a dealership environment is essentialAdditional SpecializationsAuto Electrician : Deep understanding of vehicle electrical systemsAbility to interpret schematics and diagnose electrical issuesProficient in soldering and wiringKnowledge of high-voltage safety protocolsExperience with EV and hybrid systems is a plusSkills & Requirements for Auto Electrician : Automotive Electrician Certification3-5 years dealership experienceFamiliarity with vehicle technologies such as EVs, hybrids, ADASProficiency with diagnostic toolsAdditional notes : Valid passport and driver's license required.Ability to travel on short notice.Only candidates with the required experience will be contacted.Application deadline : Friday 4 July.
