Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator position currently available in Paarl.Duties and Responsibilities : Export Logistics Coordination : Plan, schedule, and coordinate the movement of fruit from farms to packhouses and export terminals.Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely export bookings.Prepare and verify shipping documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, phytosanitary certificates, bill of lading).Supply Chain Management : Monitor cold chain compliance and temperature controls during transport and storage.Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve delays or disruptions.Coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to align logistics with operational schedules.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with local and international export regulations (DAFF, PPECB, Customs, etc.

Stay updated on market-specific import requirements and documentation standards.Data Management and Reporting : Maintain accurate logistics records and inventory data.Generate regular reports on shipment status, logistics KPIs, and cost efficiency.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics performance.Requirements : Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or related field.Relevant certifications (e.g., Incoterms, Export Compliance) are advantageous.Minimum 1-2 years of logistics or supply chain experience in the agricultural or perishable goods sector.Experience in fruit exports, preferably citrus, table grapes, or pome fruit, is highly beneficial.Strong communication and coordination skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, NAV).High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Knowledge of international freight processes and incoterms.Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.Valid driver's license and own transport preferred.
