Sales Executive (Diesel Generator Sets)- Gauteng

POSITION INFO :

Our client is a well-established and highly respected leader in the yellow machinery and diesel generator sector. With a strong footprint in the South African construction and industrial markets, they provide premium machinery and power solutions to a wide client base. Key Responsibilities

Drive sales of diesel generator sets across Gauteng and broader regions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with distributors, large-scale customers , and project contractors.
Maintain and expand existing customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and long-term growth.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, tenders, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Achieve or exceed annual sales targets (minimum $2 million USD) .
Provide accurate sales forecasting , market analysis, and customer reporting.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective after-sales support .
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience in diesel generator set sales or related heavy machinery / industrial equipment.

Proven track record of annual sales exceeding $2 million USD .

Existing network of distributors, resellers, and key accounts in the construction, mining, or industrial sectors.

Strong understanding of the Gauteng market and local customer base.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred

Experience working with international power generation brands .

Technical background or knowledge of diesel engine systems and generator configurations.

Remuneration

Negotiable Depending on experience
