Project Manager

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager with expertise in bulk infrastructure projects to join our client's team for a 36 months contract.The role requires frequent travel to project sites, necessitating a valid Code 08 Driver's License.PMBOK / PRINCE2 principles (if certified) should guide structured project management approaches, such as risk management, stakeholder engagement, and process optimization.The focus on municipal contracts emphasizes strong administrative skills for SLA compliance, invoicing, and job card management.Our client in the Engineering sector is looking for a Project Manager to join their team for a housing project in Gauteng.Requirements :

Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Project Management.

Valid Code 08 Driver's License.

8+ years' experience in infrastructure projects, with 3+ years in municipal contract management.

PMBOK or PRINCE2 certification preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Develop comprehensive project plans for infrastructure projects, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Oversee all phases of project lifecycles, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with project objectives and municipal requirements.

Coordinate with stakeholders, including municipal authorities, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure timely project delivery.

Manage municipal contracts, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.

Monitor and report on SLA performance metrics, addressing any deviations promptly to maintain service quality.

Prepare and review job cards to track tasks, labor, and materials for municipal projects.

Handle project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting to ensure projects stay within budget.

Manage invoicing processes for municipal contracts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with municipal financial protocols.

Review and approve contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring alignment with project deliverables.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, job cards, progress reports, and financial records.

Ensure compliance with municipal policies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.

Apply PMBOK or PRINCE2 methodologies (if certified) to standardize project management processes.
