General Manager - South Africa Job Summary The General Manager will oversee the operations of a 5-star luxury tented lodge and a smaller camp in the remote heart of the African wilderness. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a diverse team and maintaining the highest standards of service and sustainability. Adaptability and equanimity are key to success in this very remote setting. Candidate Requirements : Relevant Degree / Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or similar field Food and Beverage knowledge would be highly beneficial 3+ years experience in a Luxury Lodge Management position essential Great communication and interpersonal skills Have excellent administration and organizational skills Must be computer literate Have a great work ethic and excellent attention to detail Be a leader with modesty and a team-first mindset – be able to motivate staff An approachable professional who values collaboration A well presented, professional and courteous individual Have a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction Be a positive individual, friendly with a “can-do” attitude Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all tasks Must be comfortable with and have prior experience living in remote bush settings Be prepared to be away from home for extended periods This is a live in position - Accommodation and all meals included
