Job published : Job published : 15-11-Job ID : Job ID : Phone number : Phone number : Job DescriptionA leading manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Logistics Supervisor for their operations in the La Mercy, KZN areaThe Logistics Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the companies logistics department which include managing the distribution of goods, ensuring efficient customer service and developing strategies to enhance departmental efficiency and customer satisfactionDuties and Responsibilities : Manage and coordinate the flow of incoming and outgoing goods, materials and distribution activitiesEnsure accurate and timely reporting of inventory operationsCollaborate with internal departments, suppliers and customers and guarantee the prompt delivery of goods and materialsDevelop and execute continuous improvement strategies and enhance efficiency, customer service and cost-effectivenessSupervise logistics staff, oversee task scheduling and ensure compliance with quality and safety standardsEndure adherence to all relevant laws and regulationsEstablish and maintain standard operating proceduresMonitor inventory levels, adjust orders and optimize storage capacityTrack order fulfilment, investigate discrepancies and resolve issuesSupport the training and development of team membersImplement and enforce health and safety standardsEducation and Experience : Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relatedMinimum 5 years' experience as a Logistics Supervisor in the Automotive Manufacturing or general manufacturing fieldFlexibility to work shifts is requiredTechnical Requirements : Comprehensive knowledge of planning, receiving and distribution processes and proceduresFamiliarity with warehouse and logistics operations including inventory management systemsProficiency in end-to-end supply chain operationsBasic understanding of business and financial principlesExpertise in stock managementWorking knowledge of ISO , ISO and IATF standardsUnderstanding of employee and industrial relations practicesValid driver's licenseStrong safety awareness and knowledgeProficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skillsAbility to contribute to and participate in project as neededPLEASE NOTE : Only qualified candidates will be shortlisted and contacted
