Our Client in the Property Management Industry, is seeking to employ an Accountant to their team based in Humansdorp.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Xero.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound knowledge of South African accounting practices.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in farming or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Experience preparing management reports or assisting with audits is beneficial.
Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and supplier payments.Prepare VAT reconciliations.Assist with monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers.Maintain accurate fixed asset registers.Prepare annual audit files and liaise with external auditors.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.Please note that should you not receive a response within 2 weeks of applying, you may consider your application unsuccessful.
