Mo te turanga - About the role This adult mental health role combines assessment and therapy for people experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress.
The Clinical Psychologist is an integral and valued member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of patient-centred interventions.
We want a like-minded individual to join our multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists.
You will provide a wide range of psychological services including risk assessment, diagnostics and testing, formulation and treatment planning, along with therapy.
You will work closely with consumers, family / whanau, and community groups in a supportive, educational, and clinical role that is firmly based upon the mental health recovery principles.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that ensures we provide our clients with assertive follow-up by maintaining contact with individuals through a key worker / case manager system.
You will be a motivated individual, keen to make a difference and thrive in a busy and diverse working environment.
It goes without saying you will possess excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills and will be able to work well under pressure and stressful situations.
Having experience working with adult patients with mental illness in a community setting, this role combines assessment, treatment, and psychotherapy for people experiencing both acute and long-standing psychological conditions and issues.

You must be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with The NZ Psychologist's Board, hold a current practising certificate with a clinical scope, and have a NZ driver's licence to apply for these roles.
