SEO Director - (Remote, LATAM)

Responsibilities
- Business Development & Education – build and lead a new department while working with world‑class ecommerce brands on the Shopify platform.
- Company Site Content & Strategy Execution – own SEO strategy for our company site, including content recommendations focused on pillar keywords and gated content.
- Content Strategy Skills & Experience – develop a comprehensive SEO offering for our ecommerce clients using Shopify and create Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) services using cutting‑edge technology to improve brand discovery in AI tools.
- Communicate SEO requirements to project teams for seamless implementation and conduct regular client site reviews to track performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Build compelling sales approaches for our SEO offerings and educate the team on SEO best practices to support sales cycles and ongoing projects.
- Monitor and analyze site performance, provide regular reports and recommendations for optimization, and execute advanced backlink strategies.
- Define SEO‑driven content strategies focused on pillar topics, long‑tail keywords, and emerging search behavior, collaborating with writers, agencies, and partners to produce and amplify high‑impact content.
- Lead third‑party content placement and backlink strategies to build authority and visibility, tracking and analyzing content performance using UTM parameters and SEO analytics tools.
Qualifications
Proven SEO expertise with demonstrable results.Awarded, ambitious mindset to build our SEO practice from the ground up.Capable and scrappy approach, self‑starter who thrives in building new initiatives.Proficiency with existing SEO reporting technology and tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Analytics.Interest and / or experience with AI applications in SEO, particularly Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).Strong communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and experience working with ecommerce brands (Shopify experience a plus).Passion for staying ahead of SEO trends and algorithm changes.The position is remote‑first, with team members across the globe.
