Electrician

Responsibilities

• Check in with the helpdesk for scheduled jobs after completion and at the end of each workday.
• Manage time for daily scheduled jobs.
• Prepare necessary tools and PPE for the day ahead.
• Respond to requests for electrical equipment and systems installations, repairs and upgrades in line with scheduled maintenance plans.
• Investigate, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, completing repairs as identified.
• Set up wiring and electrical systems to specification; test new installations to ensure proper performance and identify shorts or breaks.
• Locate the source of problems, repair or replace wiring and conduits as needed.
• Inspect and audit electrical supplies, machinery and systems, address risk areas and verify component compatibility and safety.
• Install conduits and run electrical wiring to feed switches, circuit breakers and relays.
• Keep management updated on status and challenges with repairs and installations.
• Store and secure parts and tools in accordance with regulations and SOPs.
