Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 or N4 Mechanical Engineering
- Must have red seal Mechanic trade certificate - red seal Earthmoving Mechanic trade certificate would be advantageous
- First Line Supervisor Certificate and Plant Conditioning Monitoring Certificate will be advantageous
Experience
A minimum of 6 years experience in the Roads industry , with specific focus on and exposure to Caterpillar, Komatsu, Wirtgen, Bomag, Hamm, Vogele PaverMust have a valid drivers licenseMust be a South African CitizenKnowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word & Outlook)Working knowledge of the OHS and MHS Act, Principles, and DMR RegulationsKnowledge of relevant legal requirements.Good interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent judgement and decision makingA great understanding of work optimization techniquesStrong leadership skills, and good time management skills.Key Responsibilities
The success will be responsible for (but not limited to) :
Coordinate the maintenance of equipment and machinery and ensure that operations run smoothlyEnsure all works are carried out in line with approved method statementsConduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks / briefingsSupervising and training staff, creating teams and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedulesOverseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operationsEnsure that all equipment and machinery is properly operated and maintained; and perform administrative tasks.Ensure the completion of maintenance and repairs on time and within budgetSchedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of ArtisansFacilitate skills and knowledge transfer to teamsEnsure Artisans complete all required documentation i.e. job cardsEnsure documentation is properly completed in line with Client / Company requirementsTrack and document daily work outputsOrganise and monitor the work of service providers on siteEnsure that effective equipment and materials managementOrder and manage hired / internal equipment on a daily basisCo-ordinate delivery / pick up of parts and materials as requiredEnsure site personnel meet the relevant training requirementsConducting performance reviews with staffImplement Company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality.Operate and promote safe working conditions on siteDuties, Responsibilities & Reasons for Leaving at each Company MUST be listed on CV.
