Key Responsibilities :
- Contract Management & Administration :
Oversee the full contract lifecycle from award to close-out, across multiple building and civil projects
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, programme milestones, and commercial targetsInterpret and enforce conditions of contract (FIDIC, JBCC, NEC, GCC, etc.)Manage contractual correspondence, notifications, claims, extensions of time (EOTs), and variationsCommercial Oversight & Cost Control :Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to control budgets and cash flow
Approve valuations, progress payments, variations, and final accountsIdentify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycleEnsure that proper documentation is maintained to defend or support claims and disputesProject Delivery Leadership :Coordinate with Site Agents, Engineers, and Construction Managers to align site activities with contractual and commercial goals
Drive performance on the programme, ensuring that the right resources are deployed at the right timeSupport planning, resource allocation, and milestone achievementTroubleshoot delays, disputes, and delivery risks proactivelyClient, Consultant & Subcontractor Engagement :Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Attend contract meetings and represent the companys commercial and contractual interests with authorityManage subcontractor contracts and ensure back-to-back compliance with main contract termsJob Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile) :
Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or similar8+ years experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a Contract Manager or Senior QS / PM roleDeep understanding of standard form contracts (FIDIC, JBCC, NEC, and GCC)Solid commercial acumen and the ability to manage multi-million-rand projectsProven experience with building and / or civil engineering projects (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, etc.)Proficient in contract management tools, MS Project, and cost tracking systems (e.g. CCS Candy)Valid drivers license and own transportWillingness to travel to project sites and manage multiple teams / locationsA decisive and disciplined leader who owns both risk and rewardCommercially sharp with the ability to read a contract like a roadmapNot afraid to challenge scope creep, enforce timelines, and protect your marginsA team player who builds trust across site, office, and client stakeholdersObsessive about documentation, compliance, and getting it done right the first timeHungry for growth, challenge, and long-term career successIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
