The Role

Reporting to the Director Financial Systems, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, governance, and optimisation of Group financial systems. This role combines leadership of SAP FICO master data and HFM consolidation systems to deliver accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting. It balances business‑as‑usual administration with strategic transformation initiatives, driving standardisation, automation and integration across SAP, HFM, EPMWare, Workiva and related platforms.

The Key Responsibilities

• Systems & Master Data Governance : Manage and maintain SAP financial structures (Chart of Accounts, cost centres, GLs) and metadata across SAP, HFM, TM1, EPMWare and Workiva. Administer HFM environments, ensuring data integrity, access control, and compliance with SOX and governance standards.
• Financial Close & Consolidation : Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, consolidations and reconciliations in HFM, delivering accurate and timely financial results and executive reports.
• Transformation & Projects : Drive key finance transformation initiatives including US GAAP ledger enablement, CoA harmonisation, system integrations and upgrades.
• Governance & Compliance : Enforce master data standards, support audit readiness and monitor data quality through KPIs and risk controls.
• Process Improvement : Champion automation, efficiency and integration across finance systems, partnering with Finance and Digital Technology teams.
• Leadership & Collaboration : Mentor data stewards, serve as the point of accountability for master data and consolidation systems, and collaborate with Controllership, FP&A and auditors.
