Finance Manager

An established agricultural and food processing business is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the full financial function of its abattoir operations. The role focuses on financial planning, reporting, compliance, cost control, and strategic decision-making to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency in a regulated, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full finance function including accounts, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.

Lead financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring .

Ensure compliance with SARS, SARB, and statutory regulations.

Oversee audit processes, tax compliance , and risk management.

Support business growth through cost control and profitability improvement .

Maintain and optimise ERP and financial systems .

Manage credit control, cash flow, and treasury functions .

Lead and develop a high-performing finance team , driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with operations and head office to align financial and business strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

BCom / BTech / BSc in Accounting or Financial Management (CA(SA) advantageous).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing, agriculture, or FMCG sectors.

Strong understanding of IFRS, taxation, and cost accounting .

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, Xero) and advanced Excel .

Proven experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination .
