Job description

We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Commercial Lines Underwriter to provide comprehensive administrative support to our brokers at our Bedfordview branch.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that our brokers are able to operate efficiently and effectively by managing their daily schedules, maintaining client records, and liaising with clients and insurers.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy.Key Responsibilities : Administrative Support for Brokers : Manage the daily diaries of brokers, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling meetings and appointments.Take accurate messages and ensure timely communication of important information to brokers.Handle all personal tasks assigned by brokers, ensuring seamless support throughout the day.Preparation of Documents and Presentations : Prepare professional presentations, quotations, and client portfolio packs, ensuring all materials are accurate, well-presented, and delivered on time.Assist brokers in compiling detailed reports and schedules, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correctly formatted.Client Fleet Management : Prepare and maintain comprehensive client fleet lists, including detailed information on vehicle values.Regularly update these lists to reflect any changes or additions, ensuring all data is accurate and current.Record Keeping and Data Management : Ensure all client Salesforce and Drive folders are meticulously maintained and updated, reflecting any policy amendments, communications, or other relevant details.Maintain thorough and organised records to support efficient retrieval and review of client informationmunication with Insurers and Clients : Act as a liaison between brokers and insurers, communicating policy amendments and other instructions as directed.Engage with clients on behalf of brokers, handling inquiries and providing updates on policy matters in a professional and timely manner.Travel Arrangements : Arrange travel for brokers as needed.Ensure all travel plans are well-coordinated and communicated to brokers, providing a hassle-free experience.Professional Development : Attend training sessions as required to gain necessary accreditations and enhance knowledge of industry best practices.Stay updated on new policies and procedures to maintain a high level of service and compliance.Ad-hoc Duties : Perform any additional tasks as required by the Department Head or brokers, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team as needed.Matric CertificateFSCA CompliantRE and NQF4 will be highly advantageous (Depending on Date of First Appointment)Minimum of 2 years commercial lines underwriting experienceRemuneration Package : NegotiableIf you are a proactive and organised individual with a passion for providing excellent administrative support, we would love to hear from you!
