Job descriptionMust be ship ready Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician on board a vessel Valid STCW certification and seafarer's medical certificate Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment used on ships Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in the maritime industry Ability to work well in a team and independently Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Flexibility to work long hours and be on call as needed
Overview
Position : 3rd Electrician
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including generators, motors, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Monitor and maintain the vessel's electrical systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely
- Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment and systems
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical equipment
- Collaborate with other crew members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel
