Job descriptionMinimum Qualification : Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science OR N3 Engineering Studies. Passion for engineering, machining, and precision manufacturing . Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills . Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and complete the trade test at the end of the apprenticeship. South African citizen with a valid ID.
We are assisting our client with and exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our clients TOOLMAKER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME . This structured training program will provide hands-on experience in tool and die making, CNC machining, and mould manufacturing , with exposure to Autodesk Fusion and SCam for CAD / CAM programming. Apprentices will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to develop the technical skills required for a successful career in precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of injection and blow moulds, dies, jigs, and tooling.
- Operate and learn to program CNC milling, lathes, grinding, and EDM machines .
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files .
- Support toolmakers in fitting, assembling, and testing tools to meet required tolerances.
- Learn about materials, machining processes, and quality control standards .
- Participate in classroom and practical training as part of the apprenticeship program.
- Follow health and safety guidelines in the workplace.
