As a Back-Up Power Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling back-up power solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential customers.

You will utilize your expertise in understanding customer needs, technical knowledge of back-up power systems, and strong communication skills to drive sales and meet revenue targets.

Your main responsibility will be to schedule meetings with prospective new clients and let them know of the solutions and services that we can offer.

Responsibilities :

Identify and prospect potential customers in target markets to generate leads and opportunities for back-up power sales.

Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate back-up power solutions.

Present product demonstrations and effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of back-up power systems to potential customers if necessary.

Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner, addressing customer concerns and objections as needed.

Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery and installation of back-up power systems.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the "CRM" system or alternative currently being used.

Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to back-up power solutions to effectively advise customers and maintain a competitive edge.

Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build relationships, promote products, and expand the customer base.

Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including revenue goals, margin targets, and sales activity KPIs.

Qualifications :

Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.

Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in selling technical products or solutions.

Strong understanding of back-up power systems, including generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), battery storage, and related equipment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence customers at all levels of an organization.

Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend events.
