Safety Watcher

Masa Outsourcing is currently looking for a Safety Watcher for a client based in Maydon Wharf.

This critical role ensures workplace safety by monitoring for fire hazards and maintaining emergency readiness.

Key Responsibilities : Monitor the workplace for fire hazards during operational activities.

Ensure compliance with safety permit conditions.

Prevent flammable materials from exposure to ignition sources.

Respond to fire incidents by extinguishing fires or activating alarms.

Call or the designated emergency number when required.

Halt operations immediately if hazardous conditions are identified.

Familiarize and maintain access to firefighting equipment such as extinguishers, hydrants, and hose carts.

Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections for potential fire risks.

Maintain constant communication and visual / voice contact with other employees.

Never leave the worksite unattended during operations, ensuring all equipment is properly stored post-operation.

Qualifications : Safety Certification (required).

Firefighting and First Aid Training (required).

Matric Certificate (required).

Strong communication and vigilance skills.

Proactive attitude towards identifying and mitigating hazards.
