BI Analyst Position

We are seeking to appoint a BI Analyst in a 12-month contract, to collaborate with an international team and work from our offices in Welgemoed (Northern suburbs of Cape Town).

Job Mission :

To provide end-to-end analytics solutions to address the business needs using BI technologies. Responsibilities include analyzing data, building datasets when needed, reconciling with the data source, maintaining existing platforms, monitoring data loadings, supporting users, and providing quality reviews of developments.

Key Activities and Accountabilities :

• Ensure maintenance of the BI platform, including users’ management.
• Monitor processes and data flows and perform bug fixing.
• Conduct new release testing.
• Document, design, implement and reconcile solutions.
• Enrich the existing data model based on changes in the source.
• Collaborate with the BI team and end users to propose the best analytics solutions.
• Lead the BI team.
• Take ownership of projects and communicate progress with the project team and BI team.
• Update stories and log time based on activities.
• Quality review of developments and advise on architecture and presentation.
• Act as a guarantor and mentor for best practices adoption.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or higher.
