Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire an Industrial Relations and Human Resources Officer based at the client in Bellville.

Industrial Relations (IR) :

  • Act as the primary point of contact for industrial relations matters.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution between employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Represent the company in labor disputes, negotiations, and legal proceedings if required.

Human Resources (HR) Management :

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Facilitate performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee training and development programs to upskill employees.
  • Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Compliance & Reporting :

  • Ensure adherence to employment legislation, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of industrial relations matters, grievances, and HR documentation.
  • Provide reports and recommendations on workforce trends, labor relations, and policy changes.
  • Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Minimum 5 years of experience in HR and Industrial Relations.
