We are seeking a highly organized and attentive Pass Controller to efficiently manage the flow of orders between the kitchen and dining area , ensuring smooth communication and consistent food quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Order Coordination Manage order tickets between the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely, accurate delivery of dishes.
- Quality Control Monitor plating standards, portion sizes, and presentation before food leaves the kitchen.
- Communication Act as the link between chefs and front-of-house staff, ensuring all orders are clear and correctly prepared.
- Issue Resolution Quickly identify and resolve any order discrepancies or delays.
- Efficiency Monitoring Maintain a steady workflow during busy service periods and ensure dishes reach guests promptly.
- Cleanliness & Standards Keep the pass area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.
Requirements & Skills :
Matric (Grade 12) required; hospitality qualification advantageous.Minimum 23 years experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining service excellence.Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
