SQL Developer

Our client is seeking a skilled Afrikaans speaking  SQL Developer  to design, develop, and optimize database solutions that support business operations and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and SQL Server technologies, ensuring reliable and efficient data storage, access and integration across systems. Must be able to communicate effectively in both Afrikaans and English with business and technical stakeholders.

What you'll do :

• Database Architecture Optimization :

Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to redesign and optimize database architecture and data warehouse structures for improved performance and scalability.

Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views to support applications and reporting needs.

Develop and implement SSIS packages to automate daily data uploads and transformations from multiple operational systems.

Build and maintain data models that ensure consistency, integrity, and efficiency across the data warehouse and reporting environments.

Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and tuning queries and indexes.

Provide backend SQL support for reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau, ensuring accurate and accessible data for business insights.

Analyze business and system requirements, document technical specifications, and deliver scalable SQL-based solutions aligned with DevOps principles.
